Who we are
Slipsort is operated by Under Bridges Entity (Pty) Ltd, a South African company, which is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Reach us at joseph@underbridges.co.za.
What we collect
Account details: your name, email address and a hashed password. Your slips: the images you scan or import, and the details read from them, such as merchant, date, totals and VAT numbers. Usage records: basic events such as when a slip was captured or a pack was built, used to run and improve the service.
Why we process it
To do the one thing you ask of us: keep your till slips, read them, organise them into accounts and months, and produce packs you send to your accountant. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your slips to advertise to you.
Who processes it on our behalf
Your data lives with a small set of operators, each doing one job: Vercel hosts the service, Neon stores the database, and slip images are held in private storage that is never publicly reachable. Anthropic processes slip images to read the printed details; images sent for reading are not used to train their models. When payments launch, Paystack processes card payments and Apple handles App Store subscriptions; we never see your card number. Some of these operators store data outside South Africa, under contractual safeguards consistent with POPIA section 72.
How long we keep it
Slips are kept for as long as your account is open, because a five-year-old slip is exactly the point of the product. Deleting a slip, an account label, or your whole account marks the records as deleted immediately and removes them from every view; storage is then cleaned up in the ordinary course of operations.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing joseph@underbridges.co.za. Your slip images are always yours to download from inside the product, on every plan, with no conditions. Complaints can also be lodged with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Slip images sit behind ownership checks and are never on public links. Passwords are hashed, never stored. You can add Face ID or a passcode lock to the app on your phone.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we say so in the app before the change takes effect, in plain language.
